It keeps getting better and better for Warner Bros, though the same can't be said for Christian Bale.

The Dark Knight took in $24.M on Monday.

And, now we have yesterday's earnings!

The film made an addition $20.8M on Tuesday. Most movie's debut to that number (or less) on a Friday!

The Dark Knight's domestic earnings currently stand at $203.7 million, in less than one week of release.

It's the first flick to cross the $200 million mark in 5 days.

Crazy!

PETA is upset with the new Batman movie.

As many of you saw, since the film has done so much business, The Dark Knight had some "unfriendly" dog scenes in the pic.

Particularly the scene where Batman "was punching out dogs left and right." In self-defense of course.

But some PETA is asking why with so many gadgets that Batman has on hand, the only way to defend himself was to hurt the dogs?

10. Hellboy—This superhero may be someone that would make you cross the street if he came your way (the red skin and horns might be a bit intimidating), but he's just a big teddy bear with a love for kittens (and many successful attempts to save them).

9. Aquaman—The King of Atlantis, Aquaman can commune with sea creatures, whom he considers citizens of his ocean realm, and routinely protects them from being abused or exploited by the surface-dwellers.

8. Black Panther—As the leader of the African nation of Wakanda, the Black Panther has banned the evil White Gorilla Cult from his country. Members of the cult seek to gain power by killing one of Wakanda's rare white gorillas, bathing in their blood, and eating their flesh (um, gross). The villain known as Man-Ape gained his superpowers by doing exactly that—incurring the wrath of the Black Panther and becoming one of his greatest foes.

7. Superman—In a one-shot "PSA comic" enh1d "Superman: For the Animals," Supes rescues a kitten from being thrown off a bridge by a group of kids named (seriously) Ballser, Charlie, Donuts, and Eightball and, in the process, teaches everyone a valuable lesson about not picking on anyone weaker than you—including animals.

6. Captain Planet—He just wants to save the planet from the evil Captain Pollution! And that, of course, includes all our wildlife friends who live there. Point of fact, though: "Heart"? NOT an element.

5. Thor—In the Ultimate Avengers animated movie, we find Thor out at sea with a group of activists protesting whale slaughter. If only his fellow Norwegians in the real world got the picture that whaling is a thing of the past!

4. Beast Boy—Everyone's favorite Teen Titan also happens to be vegan (and not just because he's been hanging out on peta2.com like pretty much every other teenager). You would be, too, if you had the metamorphic ability to turn into any animal and therefore had a little compassion for the ones that get eaten.

3. Animal Man—This lesser-known DC hero can mimic the abilities of animals and is an ardent advocate for animal rights. He's a vegetarian, and in Animal Man #15, Animal Man saves a group of dolphins from cruel fishers and drops the villains in the ocean to drown—only to be saved by one of the very dolphins he was trying to kill.

2. Wolverine and Jean Gray—In X-Men Unlimited #44, Wolverine catches three neighborhood boys in the act of torturing and killing animals for kicks—and offers to return the favor on behalf of his furry friends. Using her psychic powers, Jean Gray instead makes the boys experience in their minds the pain and suffering that they caused to their innocent victims. In the next issue … Colonel Sanders!

1. Wonder Man—In Civil War: Frontline #5, part of Marvel's epic Civil War story arc, Wonder Man is interrupted on his way to an important function by two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents looking for answers about a mysterious aquarium store bombing (read the book). The important function? A PETA banquet. 'Nuff said.

Some Mindy McCready news that's NOT about jail time!

A report claims that the cracked out country crooner is apparently going back to rehab after trying to "do herself in" with vodka and Ambien late last week.

McCready supposedly became suicidal after getting dumped by her boyfriend and collapsed while on the phone with her mother.

Dr. Phil reportedly suggested to troubled singer that she head to Arizona for treatment.

Mindy is the doc's new "personal project."

Both parties have declined to comment.

Kim Kardashian sent a big public middle finger to Shanna Moakler yesterday, Tuesday, while out shopping in L.A.

The E! reality star pointedly wore a figure-hugging top from Famous Stars and Straps, the clothing company owned by Pokeher's ex, Travis Barker.

Shanna and Kim got into an altercation in Malibu this weekend.

What a diva!

As we mentioned last week, Lauren Conrad was hired as the official dog walker and host for Animal Fair magazine's 9th annual 'Paws for Style' benefit.

Instead, L.C. showed up for some quick pictures on the red carpet and quickly left out the back before doing her walk down the runway with a rescued dog.

She bailed on an event that was paying her!

Now, we find out that L.C. was also flown to East Hampton by helicopter and was paid to host a party at Lily Pond for Svedka's "Join the Party" campaign.

However, in typical L.C. style, she showed up two hours late, according to reports.

For a gig she was getting paid to do!

A source says, "She seems to have lost a grip on reality and thinks she is A-list material. And after taking pictures, she bolted straight to the VIP area and refused to speak to anyone outside her entourage."

So very true.

L.C. better enjoy her 15 minutes of fame. Most "reality" tv stars don't last very long in the spotlight. - especially when acting like spoiled divas.

Lindsay Lohan and her uglier half, saMAN Ronson, are beyond wearing promise rings.

The two are now said to be wearing matching infinity lock bracelets by Jules Smith.

An insider tells Life & Style, "The bracelets represent their relationship — they have each other on lockdown, and there's no one else who can open up the key to their hearts."

Gag.

The pair also have matching anchor necklaces, "which symbolize that they are each other's anchor."

Cable channel Lifetime will pay tribute to Estelle Getty with a Golden Girls marathon on July 25th from 12-5 p.m.

The 10 episodes airing on Lifetime will be all about Sophia, the now legendary character she played on the hit show.

The last episode to air, at 4:30 p.m., will be the #1 Sophia episode as voted on by fans at myLifetime.com.
